Following last year’s investment in Exo’s own state of the art bathymetric survey equipment, we continue to improve our survey capability within the logistically challenging and complex intertidal zone, through the use of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) datasets.
Undertaking bathymetric and UAV surveys during high and low spring tides respectively, we are able to accurately mesh our datasets across the maximal intertidal zone to create extensive high resolution 3D surface models, merging seamlessly across the complex interface of terrestrial and aquatic environments.
Specialising in the beneficial use of dredged material (BUDM), Exo often works across the land-water boundary and our projects require the accurate calculation and matching of dredge and storage volumes. This approach allows both the detailed design of BUDM applications and monitoring of long-term geomorphological processes over varying temporal and spatial scales.
Exo is proud to be able to offer such innovative survey solutions where traditional approaches do not meet the demands of those working across our dynamic coastal zone.
