On Tuesday the 7th October the Broads Authority and Exo carried out a bi-annual survey of the Salhouse Broad project to assess the structural integrity and vegetation development. Exactly two years after the start of the project a dense marsh and reed-bed vegetation has emerged, twice as dense as the photo of May 2014 below. This project was achieved with the beneficial re-use of dredged sediment and a geotextile tube retaining structure.

The project was presented during the PIANC World Congress in San Francisco and the full paper is available here.
