Videographer – Part Time, NR9

This is an exciting opportunity for a part time videographer to join the team and support Exo Environmental with the development and maintenance of its marketing and publicity resources. Furthermore, to work on video material for European projects with a cross border audience.

This is a primarily supporting role for the lead Marketing Specialist / Videographer with input for a broad spectrum of products and activities including:
• Project videos about environmental pilot projects and promotional video work
• Pre-production planning and script work
• Assistance with filming and audio during production
• Editing in Premiere, including overlay graphics, colour grading and sound work
• Design input to thumbnails for videos and potentially posters and brochures
• Obtaining photography stills, video and time-lapse video in the field
• Production of short-form content for social media (i.e. short videos and photo production)

The post holder should show excellent attention to detail, have a creative flair and strong computer skills and be able to meet project deadlines. With our variable workload and range of projects, we require an individual with a strong work ethic. It is envisaged that the successful candidate has more than 1 years of practical experience, coming from previous video work, freelance work or similar. Specific skills required for the role include:

Essential Criteria:
• Videography / Photography experience
• Editing skills using Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe Photoshop
• Knowledge in using cameras and sound equipment
• Excellent written and verbal use of the English language

Useful but non-essential criteria:
• Experience with Adobe InDesign and Illustrator
• Website design experience
• Knowledge of social media marketing principles and best practice
• A full driving licence and access to a car

R&D Technician – Part Time, Temporary Contract, NR9

This is an exciting opportunity for a part time Environmental R&D Technician to join the team on a fixed term contract and support Exo Environmental in the development of innovative coastal protection products based on the working with nature philosophy. The post holder will be offered a unique role, with an excellent variation in work both in the field as well as in the workshop/office. In house training will be provided towards more independent working and taking on more complex roles in due time.

Demonstrable experience working within marine and coastal environments would be advantageous. With our variable workload and range of projects, we require an individual with a strong work ethic, good financial and people management skills and an aptitude to learn quickly, taking on new roles and responsibilities as required.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate has some practical experience demonstrating the following specific skills or knowledge:

Essential Criteria:
• Research lab skills, data collection and data management
• Literature reviews and white papers
• Knowledge of climate change adaptation with focus on nature-based solutions
• Good manual skills using a range of (power)tools
• Good Health & Safety practice

Beneficial training and qualifications:
• BSc Degree and/or experience of working in industry in a relevant discipline
• Understanding of chemistry (focus on soil chemistry)
• Sediment management, with focus on beneficial use of sediment.
• Experience in soil stabilisation
• Autodesk Fusion 360
• 3D printing
• Driving Licence
• Experience of working in aquatic and intertidal environments
• First Aid
