EXO’s Christmas Message for 2021

December is finally here, and this means the calendar year is nearing its end for us at Exo Environmental. 2021 has posed many challenges with regards to further adaptation to COVID-19. However, with vaccination rates increasing, appropriate PPE and procedures, the Exo team has not been severely affected and were able to complete many exciting projects. We have continued working on existing projects and started work on some unique new projects, as well as improving services. Below are some highlights from this past year which we are particularly proud of!

  • New team members have joined the company.

  • Committed to the Climate change and sediment management pledge (SEDNET)

  • Conducted several Multibeam Bathymetric surveys.

  • Celebrated our 7th year as a company.

  • Continued to lead on Communications for the Interreg 2Seas SARCC Project (SARCC Website).

  • Continued work on our Eco reef development (ecologically enhanced scour protection).

  • Continued to conduct Single beam bathymetry surveys.

  • Developed new products and designs using our GeoBlock technology (GeoBlock website).

  • Conclusion of our SIF flat oyster project.

  • Monitoring the CANAPE project for the Broads Authority.

  • Completed dredging and beneficial use of sediment at Beccles.

  • Achieved SMAS Work safe certification (See blog post 12/07/2021).

  • Installation of over 100m of Brushwood in Mersea harbour, part of a climate change adaptation scheme (See blog post 30/09/2021).

We’re taking a well-earned two weeks off over Christmas from Saturday 18th December to Monday 3rd January. If you do wish to contact us during this period, please expect a reply on Tuesday 4th January 2022.

We wouldn’t be able to do what we do if it wasn’t for our clients and followers. So, whether you’ve employed our services in the last year, worked on projects with us or have just been keeping up to date with our blog and social media, thank you! We love doing what we do and are grateful for everyone who has helped us get to where we are. From all the Exo Environmental team.
